Through my work as a voluntary counsellor from 2006-2012 at a busy London-based bereavement counselling service, I came to realise that loss comes in many forms, including bereavement, separation, divorce, disability, loss of confidence, deteriorating health, miscarriage, identity, infertility, etc.
I started private practice in 2013 and I have worked effectively with a wide range of people of all ages and ethnicities in emotional distress and conflict on various issues including anxiety, relationships, addictive behaviour, depression, stress, abuse, sexuality. I also work with people who are seeking to develop their identity, confidence, assertiveness and self-esteem and with younger people who are experiencing exam anxiety/stress, bullying, cultural or family concerns.
As a trained integrative counsellor, I draw from more than one method of working with my clients. I understand that there is no such thing as one-size-fits-all and my training and experience supports this. I incorporate humanistic, psychodynamic, developmental and attachment-based theories in my practice and therapy is specifically tailored around your personality and needs and always in the strictest confidence.
I always strive to adhere to the ethics of my professional governing body, the British Association of Counselling and Psychotherapy (BACP) and I deliver counselling with integrity, compassion and care.
